Chennai: P. Zainul Abedeen was unanimously elected as the president of Tamilnadu Thowheed Jamath,(TNTJ) for a term of three years during the 14th state general body meeting which held at Magamagam Kalayarangam in Kumbakonam on Sunday.

Newly elected office bearers:
President: P.Zainul Abedeen
General Secretary: Kovai Rahamatullah
Treasurer: M.I. Sulaiman
Vice President: Syed Ibrahim
Joint Secretary: Mohammed Yusuf and 10 other state secretaries.

More than 3000 office bearers around the state and few from neighboring states and from gulf countries participated in the General Body meeting.
TNTJ is a non-political socio-religoius organization with following among Tamil-speaking Muslims.
The Public meeting was arranged in the evening in which Moulavi.P.Zainul Abedeen addressed the massive gathering on the Topic "Muslimgalukku ethirana ulagalaviya sathi (Global conspiracy against Muslims)" and Moulavi Rahamtullah on the topic " mathangalai kadantha manithaneyam (Humanity beyond religions)
The Jamath demanded the central and State government to take necessary action for implementing Reservation for Muslims. The Jamath will hold the massive rally on october 8th to press for their demand of reservation.
