New Delhi: University Placement Cell and SAE Chapter, Jamia Millia Islamia in association with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a leading Auto and Farm Equipments major, organized a full day programme, Mahindra IGNITER’s Quotient in the Faculty of Engineering & Technology on 16 April, 2013.
The programme, uniquely conceived by the company, aimed at not just identifying the talent in the engineering colleges but also to engage them in the early years of study and give them a corporate experience.
This event is being organized by the company across various locations in the country. It consisted of various events such as Technical Quotient, a Technical Paper Presentation Contest to test the student’s technical knowledge with the help of live case studies provided by Mahindra AFS, Design Quotient - a Design Contest where students had to assemble a vehicle using assembly kits. General Quotient, a Quiz Contest for the students to experience the myriad dimensions of Automobiles / Farm or Agricultural Products.
On this occasion, the company spread a message of saving environment through a Mahindra pavilion which included a Mahindra Reva e2O (Electric Car) and Mahindra Arjun and a grand history wall which took the students through the history of Mahindra Automotive & Farm Equipment sectors.
The event got a huge response and the students of the university, NIEC and other colleges participated in big numbers in the various contests. The company informed that the winners of the various contests would be exempted from Aptitude Test, Technical Test and GD rounds during the campus selection process of the company. Auto major also conducted tests for paid summer internships in the company.
Placement Head of the university, Rihan Khan Suri expressed satisfaction and said that Industry Institute Interaction through such activities is beneficial for the students.
