‘Minority Minister is keen on transform the lower strata of the society’

Aligarh: Minority Affairs Minister, K Rehman Khan is keen on transforming the lower strata of the society, said Muhammad Wazeer Ansari, IPS, ADGP Chhattisgarh, who has been appointed on deputation the new Secretary of the Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF), Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

IPS Ansari was speaking after felicitation by a delegation of Aligarh Community led by Jasim Mohammad, who met him in his office.



Ansari, an old boy of Aligarh Muslim University, has been considered for the post considering his honesty and capability.

Thanking the Aligarh delegation, Ansari said that he is really happy at the love and affection of Aligarians, adding that the present Union Minister of Minority Affairs is very keen to transform the lower strata of the society.

He said that he will do his best to ensure that the weakest person of society gets the benefit of government schemes.

Social Activist Shahid Perwez, Dr MA Qureaishi, Baddrujduja Najmi, Shaukat Ahmad, Tanveer Ahmad and Dr Daulat Ram were also part of the delegation that presented a bouquet to the new secretary of MAEF.

Maulana Azad Education Foundation is a voluntary, non-political, non-profit making social service organization, established to promote education amongst educationally backward sections of the Society. It is fully funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs and Union Minister of Minority Affairs is Ex-Officio President of the Foundation. It was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 6 July 1989.
