Imam of Masjid-e-Nabavi to attend Conference in Kolkata

Kolkata: West Bengal State Jamiat-e-Ulama (Arshad Madani Group) is organizing a grand 'Azmat-e-Sahaba' conference on 10th May, 2013 at Brigade Parade Ground, Kolkata in presence of Chief Guest Dr. Sheikh Mohsin Qasim, Imam of Masjid-e-Nabavi in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Secretary of West Bengal State Jamiat-e-Ulama announced in a Press Conference at Kolkata Press Club on 20th April, 2013.

Central Working Committee Member of Jamiat-E Ulama Hind Syed Asjad Madani with presence of Ex union Minister and Member of Parliament were present at the press conference.

Asjad Madani said, Jamiat Ulama is organizing 'Azmat-e-Sahaba' in different parts of the country. This campaign had been started in 2011 by Shaikh Abdur Rahman Sudais at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.

Qari Samsuddin, General Secretary of West Bengal State Jamiat-E Ulama said, the main focus 'Azmat-e-Sahaba' is to glorify the values of Companions of the Prophet and to make a bridge between Muslims of the world.

The Juma (Friday Prayer) Namaz will be held on 10th May, 2013, 1pm under Imam Dr. Sheikh Mohsin Qasim. Main programme will start after Asr Namaz at 5 pm. Jamiat-e-Ulama President Arshad Madani and many other Islamic clerics will deliver speech on Islam & Shariah in this convention.

Dr. Sheikh Mohsin Qasim was born in 1968 in Holy Mecca in a religious family. After completing primary education and hifz in the Holy Quran and he got Doctorate in Islamic jurisprudence. At the same time he got degree in Law. He was appointed as a Justice in Riyadh court by Saudi Government. In 1997 he lost his father. And after the death of his father Dr. Sheikh Mohsin Qasim has been appointed as the Imam of Masjid-e-Nabvi (Prophet’s Mosque) in Madinah.

Ex Union Minister, Trinamul Congress MP and Member of All India Personal Law Board Sultan Ahmed said, Imam of Makka last visited Kolkata in 1973. After 40 years we are honored with a visit of Imam of Madinah. He also said, lot of devoted muslims will be come from North-East state of our country to Kolkata to attend the convention. Naturally they would want to offer namaz behind the Imam from Madinah. So, we are seeking a large Ground in Kolkata and Brigade Parade Ground is a suitable place.

He welcomed non-Muslims also to attend this grand connference.
