Aligarh: The Centre for Promotion of Science, Aligarh Muslim University organized Summer School-2013 for the teachers from Madrasas and Introductory Computer Course for female teachers of Muslim Managed Educational Institutions.
Addressing the inaugural function, chief guest, Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah appreciated the role of Deeni Madrasas for the propagation of education among Muslims in the country.

He said that University is providing educational facilities to Madrasa students for pursuing higher studies after qualifying the mandatory admission test. Gen Shah urged the teachers to take the task of Muslim education as a mission.
On this occasion, AMU Vice Chancellor and his wife Mrs. Sabiha Simi distributed reading material to the participants. He also distributed certificates to the teachers of the University maintained schools for participating in the Computer literacy programme.
Dr. Fatima Shujatullah, Director of the Centre highlighted the achievements of the Centre. She also acknowledged the services of Prof. Rashid Hayat Siddiqui for his support and encouragement. Dr. Zeba Zakaur Rab proposed the vote of thanks.
