Silchar, Assam: Former president of India and eminent scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was at National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Silchar in Assam. After lighting the ceremonial diya or lamp, he later interacted with school students.
The ‘Missile Man of India’ famed scientist will also address the 11th Convocation of NIT on May 12 at the Students’ Activity Centre (SAC) in the campus. On this occasion, the Institute will confer D Sc (Honoris Causa) on him.
