Lucknow: CPIM leader Subhasini Ali said in Lucknow today that her party will raise the issue of death of Khalid Mujahid and tabling of Nimesh Commission report in Parliament.
Subhasini was speaking during her token of support on the fourth day of the indefinite dharna that Rihai Manch (Forum for the Release of Innocent Muslims imprisoned in the name of Terrorism) has organized outside the state Assembly demanding persecution of police officers involved in the custodial death of Khalid Mujahid, tabling of the Nimesh Commission Report and release of Muslim youths languishing in jails in fabricated terror cases.
She accused the SP government of trying to protect the ‘killers of Khalid Mujahid’, else the government should have suspended and arrested the 42 police officials against whom FIR has been registered.
Pointing to the acquittal of Varun Gandhi in the hate speech case, the former Rajya Sabha MP alleged that the Samjwadi Party and BJP are colluding for narrow political gains.
Former MP Ilyas Azmi, who was also present, alleged that whenever SP comes to power in UP, communal riots increase.
