Hyderabad: Students Islamic Organization of India, Andhra Pradesh zone organized a refugee meet on the occasion of world refugee day at Balapur, Hyderabad. This meet was especially been held for Rohingya Muslim refugees from Burma, whom many of them are sheltering in scattered refugee accommodations in the outskirts of the city.
While addressing the gathering Abdul Jabbar Siddiqi, Chairman, Human Welfare Foundation, A.P. extended his sympathies and best wishes to the refugees who had to fled from their lands. He said that one of the biggest problems in world is rehabilitation of refugees and every nation should take this issue seriously to reintegrate their refugees.
He exhorted the gathering that refugees are no less human and it’s the tragedy of modern times that the rise of the sectarian violence, rebellion against the governments and the state wars are displacing huge populations from their lands. He expressed his grieves on their plight and promised every possible help to them.
Br Iqbal Hussain, State President SIO asked the youth not to deviate from the path of truth and honesty and always have faith in God.
The refugees participated in singing and Quran recitation competitions. SIO distributed monsoon kits to all the refugee participants.
