Aligarh: The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing the XI Outreach Satellite-based Learning Programme Course on “basics of Remote Sensing, GIS and Global Navigation Satellite System” in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO, Dehradun for faculty members, research scholars, PG and UG students.
Dr. LAK Rao, Chairman Department of Geology said that the course will be conducted from 5th August to 4th November 2013 and classes will be held in the Department of Geology from 4 pm to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday. The course structure is spread into 4 modules of teaching on Remote Sensing and Digital Image Analysis, Global Navigation Satellite System, Geographic Information System, RS and GIS Applications
He said that the certificate will be issued from the IIRS to the participants after completion of this course. Preference will be given to Research Scholars and PG/UG students working in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS.
Dr. Rao said that those who are interested to take part in the XI Satellite Based Distance Learning Program may apply on prescribed forms available in the Office of the undersigned. Forms should be submitted in the Office of the undersigned during working hours on or before July 28, 2013.
