Train accident, bus mishap claim two lives in Kerala

Kasargod: A young boy died when the engine of a train rammed into him on Wednesday July 31 in northern Kerala district of Kasargod. The boy has been identified as Johar (8), son of Jaleel Tailangady.

He was a student of Palakunnu Greenwood School, studying in class 3. As holiday had been declared for the school, Johar had gone to his ancestral house. He was hit by the train engine while crossing the railway track near his grandmother's house. He died on the spot.

In another accident, a young boy slipped from bus and sustained severe injuries. He later breathed his last in a hospital in Mangalore.
The deceased is A Mohammed Irshad (13), son of Ibrahim and Hajira, Bendichal, who was studying in 8th standard at Chettanjal Higher Secondary School. The incident took place when Irshad was returning home from school on July 22.

He was travelling by a government bus plying from Chettanjal via Delli, when all of a sudden, he lost balance and fell down from the bus when it reached Padoor. A critically injured Irshad was admitted in a private hospital in Mangalore, where he passed away a week later.
