Jaipur: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan’s President Er. Khurshid Hussain has reacted strongly All India Congress Committee meet here referred as “Chintan Shivir”. Hussain said that India’s Muslims are struggling for security of their lives and property in various communal riots and their civil rights are being trampled upon as Muslim youth are getting arrested on false charges of terrorism. “But in two days of speeches here, these important issues facing Muslims did not find any mention by any Congress leaders,” said Hussain.
“There have been a number of violence against Muslims in Congress-ruled Rajasthan but justice still eludes them. There are several incidents where compensation money is yet to be distributed. Many have not yet returned to their own homes because of fear of communal forces. In none of these cases anyone has been charged or guilty police officers punished,” charged Khalid Hussain.
In Gopalgah in Sept 2011, nine Meo Muslims were killed in police firing. Hussain alleged that police has kept 5 victims in judicial custody while the communal elements are free.
Hussain said that Congress treat Muslims nothing more than a vote bank. This attitude is clearly visible that even though this “chintan shivir” is happening in Rajasthan but there has been on discussion or mention of Muslim issues. He warned that if this attitude continues then Congress will face the consequences in the near future.
