Chairman of the forum, Dr. Mohammad Shahid said, “the UPA government had identified Muslim concentrated districts but the Muslims failed to receive any benefit of the schemes launched there because government did not put into action any effective mechanism to monitor them. He demanded that the districts having 15 percent Muslim population should be declared preferential districts and the schemes meant for minorities should be extended there also.”

They must be unreserved to increase Muslim participation in decision making bodies. Dr. Fatima Zehra said this we have still faith in UPA government but it should be servious enough on the problems of the Muslims. Mohsin raza Khan said that according to the Union Minister for Minority welfare Shri K. Rehman, Muslim waqf properties may generate income of 10,000 crore but the sad fact is that different state governments and even central government itself have illegal possession of these properties which should be freed.
