Qatar: MES Scouts team took part in international conference organized by Qatar Amateur Radio Society, state of Qatar in connection with Qatar National Day celebrations. The programme was inaugurated by H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, chairman of the board of directors of the Qatar Amateur Radio Society (QARS).
The team was lead by Shakil Ahmed Kakvi, incharge of MES Scouts and Guides Mission along with 22 scouts including troop leaders of air force, army and Navy scouts. The team had interactions with Dr.Ahmed Hamed Almohandi of Qatar Amateur Radio Society and other guests from USA, Germany and other parts of the world.
“This provided a good opportunity to young scouts to learn more about amateur radio which will be helpful to them for disaster management as well as friendly world,” said Shakil Kakvi.
