One billion rising’ campaign for gender sensitization on 14 Feb

New Delhi: Several non-governmental organizations and educational institutions are together organizing ‘one billion rising’ campaign for gender sensitization and against violence against women in the national capital in response to the international call for One Billion Rising.

ANHAD in collaboration with organisations like Jansanskriti, Guru Gobind Singh IP University, National Law University, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar University, Maxfort School, Queens Valley School and ANHLGT are organizing the programme at the National Law University Auditorium in Dwarka, New Delhi on February 14, 2013 from 3-6pm to Stop Violence against Women.

The programme in Dwarka is being conceived as a cultural and intellectual response to the culture of violence that exists in our society and we aim to sensitise the younger generation on questions related to gender equality and violence against women.

This is a part of the international call One Billion Rising campaign. Over 200 countries are participating in it and over 7000 events are happening across the world to stop violence against women.
