New Delhi: Sarojini Naidu Centre for Women’s Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize a number of events as part of the International Women’s Day Week from March 5-8, 2013 in the Committee Room and lawns, Nehru Guest House of the university.
On this occasion, the Centre will organize Inter Faculty/Department Quiz and Film Screening & Discussion on March 5, 2013 from 10 to 2 PM.
On March 6, 2013 from 10 to 2 PM, a Debate on “Should men contribute to household work?” and a Panel Discussion on“Women in Conflict Situation” will be held.
There will also be a Poster Making session on “Freedom for Women” and Essay Writing on “Men, Masculinity and Rape’ in Hindi, English and Urdu from 10 to 11.30 AM while Film Screening & Discussion will be held at 2 PM on March 7, 2013.
On the last day of the programme, Certificate & Prize Distribution Ceremony will be held at 11 AM.
The celebration will come to an end will with ‘Nukkar Nataks’ on “Ab Toh Jago” and “Ab Na Darenge Hum” which will be presented by Jamia Gender Equality Group and Srijanatmak Manushi Sangathan (Partner NGO).
