Rihai Manch lamented that Akhilesh’ government has proved worse than his father, Mulayam Singh Yadav, particularly for Muslims.
The killing of CO of Pratapgarh Zia-ul Haq by the goons of Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka Raja Bhaiya, Kunda MLA is the most shameful incident that took place under the state government, Manch said in a joint press statement.
Advocate Mohammad Shoaib and former police Chief SR Darapuri asked in the joint statement, “Are criminals running the government or government is illicit?”
Ministers of opposition parties echoed, “When government can’t protect a police officer what kind of security will it gives to the common people”.
“The Anti-Muslim violence in Asthan village of Pratapgarh by the extremist Hindu organizations and Raja Bhaiya’s associates have burned the houses of 40 Muslims in the presence of police and that prove that Uttar Pradesh is now under forest rule. If the culprits of that crime have been punished then the goons of Raja Bhaiya would not have killed a Muslim police officer,” they alleged.

After that CM called a meeting at his residence and Raja Bhaiya signed his resignation letter. After accepting the resignation, the governor BL Joshi allocated food and civil supplies department to the CM.
BSP Chief, Mayawati has demanded the President Rule in the state and has called the SP government a‘Gunda Raj’.
The voice of slain Zia-ul Haq’s wife has now became a slogan for many parties who are trying to corner the government, though CM ordered the CBI inquiry in the case and has offered full support to the victim. But the prime accused in the murder, Raja Bhaiya has clearly said that he is not guilty and hence is not afraid of the CBI probe.
