Aligarh: The step of the HRD Ministry of Central government to commission a national level database on educational related data of minorities is most important and laudable positive action which should be welcomed as it will help the government to evolve an action plan to arrest the downfall of education among minorities particularly Muslims said Jasim Mohammad, General Secretary of Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC), Aligarh while chairing a meeting to welcome the decision of HRD Ministry.
He pointed out that Sachar Committee had marked the areas where Muslims were lagging behind educationally and the government had committed to take up positive action and the current efforts are part of that.
Prof. Humayun Murad said the database will clearly put the areas of immediate actions by the government and that will enable authorities and the community to do the needful.
