AMU students’ union organizes symposium

Aligarh: The Student’s Union of the Aligarh Muslim University today organized a Symposium on “Role of AMU Old Boys”.

On this occasion, Nadeem Ahmad Farooqui, an alumnus of the University was felicitated for establishing a Library during his chairmanship of the Shamshabad Municipal Board in the name of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of the University.

Brigadier S. Ahmad Ali, Pro-Vice Chancellor, highlighted the role of AMU alumni in the development of this great seat of learning. He said that the University is preparing a database of its alumni and it would invite prominent alumni for their participation in the University affairs.

Former Pro-Chancellor, Nawab Ibne Saeed of Chhatari said he joined the University in 1933 as a student during the Vice Chancellorship of Sir Ross Masood. He said that several alumni of this University have established schools, colleges and universities to promote the mission of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.



Symposium on Role of AMU Old Boys organized by AMUSU

On this occasion, Dr. Shariq Aqeel, Dr. B. A. Khan and Mr. Razi Khan Afridi also addressed the symposium. Mr. Shoeb Ali, Cabinet Member and Convener of the Symposium welcomed the guests. Taushif Alam, Acting President of AMUSU proposed a vote of thanks.
